GeoQuery

GeoQuery is a free platform developed by AidData at William & Mary that makes it easy to extract geospatial data for any area of interest — no GIS expertise required.

Select boundaries, choose from a curated library of datasets, and download results ready for analysis in Excel, Stata, SPSS, or GIS software.

How it works

  1. Select your boundary — choose from existing administrative boundaries or upload your own shapefile
  2. Choose datasets — browse datasets spanning population, climate, infrastructure, conflict, aid flows, and more
  3. Submit your request — enter your email and submit; results are sent directly to your inbox
  4. Analyze your data — receive a CSV, boundary shapefile, and PDF metadata file with full citation and source information
