Locations of Indigenous Peoples' and local community lands and territories from LandMark. Measures percent overlap with the unit of analysis. Based on both polygons and points (points buffered to small polygons). The underlying Indigenous and community land boundaries are drawn from LandMark and its contributing providers and represent a first reference, not a definitive or verified source of truth on land tenure. The absence of a boundary does not indicate the absence of Indigenous or community land, and coverage is incomplete and unevenly sourced across regions. Any use that could affect these lands or communities requires independent verification (e.g., ground-truthing) rather than reliance on these boundaries alone.
